In pursuit of Richards and Rose

By Brian Halford on Apr 17, 09 03:07 PM

Somerset 294 for 2 (42 overs). Langer 69, Hildreth 101.

Trott bowled a very good maiden over to Hildreth on 99 but the batsmen has just reached his centuury from 124 balls with 13 fours. The batsmen are well in control though Hildreth, on 85, skied a slog-sweep at Trott and was fortunate to see the ball land just beyond Miller at long-leg.

Botha wheeling away without looking enormously penetrative.

This partnership is now 176, closing in on Somerset's third-wicket record against Warwickshire - 206 by Viv Richards and Brian Rose at Edgbaston in 1982.

Have you got your whites Brian?

Sadly, Simon, a back injury will prevent me from bailing out the Bears.
Can't help thinking Naqaash should have played here.
