I think there's an argument for batting as long as poss. The Bears are not over-endowed with bowling potency are they so the more scoreboard pressure and the wearier the opposition the better.
As I type that Troughton's just lifted Dawson for another six.
They did however, have them 183-5 in the first innings. Rankin looked especially threatning and few wickets late into the third session could be crucial
Geese! Now there is a menace, a low point of my life was being chased by 100 angry geese in Shard End. Its when i truly knew the meaning of the word "fear".
The rate they are going (even now Ambrose has fallen) they could have a lead well over 100 by 5pm. Be worth a burst against tired minds.
