Bell has played really well, leaving the ball immaculately and classily punishing anything loose. His 50 came in 84 balls with nine fours.

It really is a pleasure to watch him bat when confident and in form (when Bell is confident and in form, that is, not the onlooker). Trouble is, of course, the better he bats for the Bears early in the season the greater the chance of them losing him back to the England set-up.
