A plate

By Brian Halford on Apr 10, 09 03:12 PM

On June 1, 1985, Viv Richards biffed 322 from 258 balls (42 fours, eight sixes) for Somerset against Warwickshire at Taunton.

Allan Jones was one of the umpires.

Richards' glorious innings was subsequently commemorated in the form of a limited edition Elizabethan Staffordshire china plate.

When the Bears visit Taunton next week will any player unfurl batting exploits worthy of immortalisation by an item of crockery?

Perhaps Anyon.

His batting at Oxford last Tuesday brought to mind Bradman in his prime.
