Mark Wagh's book and duck
Mark Wagh's new book - "Pavilion to crease...and back" - is an honest and intelligent piece of work, well worth reading. Though essentially a diary of his progress through last season with Nottinghamshire, it includes some interesting reflections on his time with Warwickshire and the reasons for his departure from Edgbaston.
Wagh made his debut in first-class cricket for Oxford University against Leicestershire in 1996 and launched his career with a blob (caught by David Millns off Vince Wells - he has never appeared at his most comfortable against opponents with a double 'l' in their name) at The Parks, from where this blog will, God, turbulent job climate and erratic computer-technology permitting, resume on Monday April 6 for the first day of Warwickshire's two-day friendly there after the blogger has had a long-overdue, richly-deserved and desperately-needed 'oliday.
