Salt or sugar?

Good news for those people intending to attend county championship matches at Edgbaston next season. Steve Rouse will not be instructed to prepare the lifeless porridges (not my description, a Warwickshire bowler's) on which four-day cricket was played there for most of last season.

Who is he to be instructed? I thought it was mainly up to the groundsman unless he was hen pecked... Wasn't taunton's obscene batting averages all their groundsmans doings? Sure that's what Langer said.

Steve Rouse certainly prepared wickets to order last season as Ashley Giles confirms in today's Mail.
I think quite a lot of hen-pecking goes on at the various county grounds!
