All the best to Michael Powell, off to a teaching career, Lee Daggett, off to take up a two-year contract at Northamptonshire, and Tim Groenewald, off to join Derbyshire after Warwickshire agreed to release him immediately.
What struck me, speaking to Powell and Daggett this week, is that though both have reason to fell aggrieved by their treatment by the Bears at times, there is not a trace of anger or bitterness in them. Both utterly nice chaps and may they flourish in whatever they do.
And the same for Groenewald also. Haven't managed to catch up with him but he's another decent chap and will no doubt do a bit of damage in one-day cricket for Derbyshire.
