Rainbow
Warwickshire 251 all out. Trott 88 not out. They trail by 88.
In one of those intriguing little twists that championship cricket throws up, the Bears were 247 for 9, three runs short of another batting point, when Martin was exposed to a new over from Whelan. The former Middlesex player has bowled well today but suddenly had a bit of a shocker, losing direction and sending down two no-balls to gift the Bears a point. When he got one straight, Martin shovelled it to square leg.
Driving back last night, by the way, I saw something really special. A magnificent rainbow but not just that, I could see one of its feet, glorious colours plunging through the shimmering sunlight right the way down into a hayfield.
There was no pot of gold there. Delightful sight, though. Somehow I never thought that whatever lay at the foot of a rainbow did so in a field next to the M5.

They'll be hunting for Chinese betting syndicates in the shires after Warwickshire were gifted that last bonus point by the bowler, mark my words.
I've never been able to afford to gamble. I came from a poor family, you see. One year things were so tight that Mum and Dad gave me an empty box for Christmas and told me it was an action-man deserter.
I think I can guess why it deserted....

Rikki's Dad has a good rant.
