It's a tremendous effort to get the ground playable for 10.30am. Sadly, grey clouds have gathered above and, of course, the forecast for the next few days does not encourage hopes of a full and fulfilling contest.

Morning, Warley. The rain, of course, will probably doom this contest anyway but the fact that maximum bonus points from a draw might be viewed by both sides as a decent end-product from this game makes me fear we could be in for another 400-plus plays 400-plus then a bit of faffing about on the final day and a half.
Hope springs eternal though...
