Granville Charles Gresham Leveson-Gower JP

By Brian Halford on Sep 9, 08 03:59 PM

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Headingley is under unbroken, thick cloud and is a picture of gloom. A 4pm inspection by the umps, with a view to a 5.30pm start, was rendered irrelevant by another burst of rain. They will look again at 4.50pm.

There is only a handful of spectators here. Giles, Westwood and Maddy are conversing on the outfield, five yards from a bloke with sinister glasses and a green and yellow umbrella.

In 1948, Mr Granville Charles Gresham Leveson-Gower JP, who failed to get into the XI at Eton, died.

Dash this silly weather, I am sure they will try as it is Darren Goughs final televised game. I will be glued to the Tv just in case.
