Champion the Wonder Horse

By Brian Halford on Sep 18, 08 04:07 PM

Warwickshire 225 for 2 (Frost 103, Trott 59).

Frost reached 100, his fifth first-class century, from 209 balls with 15 fours. Trott's 50 came from 91 balls with seven fours. Together they have ground the life out of Essex who look devoid of ideas and flat, a mood not brightened when Frost, on 100, gave his first chance, to Gallian at slip off Middlebrook but the former Lancashire batsman was awfully slow to move for a simple chance. He may have been asleep.

The mighty Bears are hurtling towards promotion.
