Doesn't bode too well, I'm afraid

Derbyshire 135 for 0 (39 overs). Rogers 69, Borrington 51.

Sadly, this has all the hallmarks of another stale-mate.

Rogers was on 65 for 36 minutes.

Martin and Rankin had a go. Woakes and Botha now bowling.

When Warwickshire played Derbyshire at Glossop in 1900, that match too drifted to a rain-affected draw. Harry Bagshaw scored 15 for the home side as they replied to the Bears' 118 all out (Bagshaw 4 for 16) with 67 for 5.

The ball always does a bit at Glossop.

Dullest season for many years. Fact.

Unarguably. And I fear a king-size dollop of deju vu here!

Can someone have a word with Rouse about producing result pitches?

Yes, the bowlers get some stick at times but it must be heartbreaking having to bowl on these pitches time after time. I wonder if Rouse would have liked to bowl on them...
