A disgrace
Umpires John Holder and Martin Bodenham have patrolled the ground theatrically and they seemed particularly delighted to find a damp patch at deep mid-wicket.
They will inspect again at 11.30am.
It is an absolute disgrace. The sun is beating down.
Martin Bodenham might have refereed a League Cup final, been fourth official at a European Cup final between AC Milan and Barcelona and red-carded Roy Keane for his infamous challenge on Alfe Inge Haaland but his stomping about ten yards in from the Eric Hollies Stand boundary this morning in search of a reason to keep the players off the field must rank as the low point of his illustrious dual sporting career.

First post on hear and it’s unfortunately a rant
Having been a member for the last 4 seasons I’d just like to let you no how Warwickshire has treated this member,
Arrived at the ticket office on Monday at 1020 and joined the queue of about 25 people for ashes tickets, 25minutes passed and no one entered or left the ticket office. Guy guarding the door informs us of computer problems, should be back up and running in 15 minutes. By 1115 the queue still hadn’t moved and a member of staff walked down the queue offering to take application forms from us and would process them when all was working again. Not having all-day to wait in a queue that hadn`t moved for almost 1hour I handed in my form. Received phone call from ticket office today (wednesday) to inform me no tickets left in member’s area!!!
I’ve now lost half a days earnings for b*gger all, Nice one Warwickshire!
If they can find a way to stop us getting any cricket they will.
Hope you will be making your views known strongly to WArwickshire and the ECB, Anonymous.
I'm told by my Man U fan and referee geek mate that it was Elleray who sent off Keane for that infamous challenge. Er in case anyone cares.
