The motions

By Brian Halford on May 2, 08 12:04 PM

Leicestershire 153 for 1 (41 overs). Boyce 48, Ackerman 88.

Zondeki and Carter plugging away but not causing too many problems.

A decent crowd is in, considering the state of the game and the changeable, chilly weather.

Basically, what we have here is 13 well-paid professionals pretty much going through the motions to no apparent end-product except that which will arrive at around 5.30pm - home time.

I wonder in how many other places of employment around Birmingham, the Midlands, England and the world that would be deemed an acceptable state of affairs.

We're all just going through the motions really.

Would you agree chiff-chaffs look like willow warblers. One of the key differences is the eyebrows - chiff-chaffs are short/dull and the willow warblers are long/distinct.

Are the Junior Bears playing cow corner heaveho's at the back of the scoreboard again today? The future is 20twenty.

How DARE you suggests that chiff-chaffs look like willow warblers.

Mr Pease, I would suggest that it is entirely reasonable to assert that chiff-chaffs look like willow warblers. Chill out.
