Middlesex 108 for 4 in the session. Big-hearted stuff from the Bears, notably the skipper (12-6-20-4).
The scoreboard froze for the last 15 minutes before the interval. I wonder if anyone from Warwickshire has put a call into Nottinghamshire to ask them for the name of the suppliers of that superb new scoreboard at Trent Bridge.

Just checked the Edgbaston scoreboard for an update - Australia 121 for 9, still need 30 to win and Alderman's just come in at number 11. Botham's got four wickets apparently!
Don't knock that scoreboard. It's just from a different genre to most - still-life.
As you are probably aware our scoreboard hasn't failed in more than 100 years!
Edgbaston can borrow it during the week as long as it's back by Saturday afternoon
