Grim news on the skipper
Darren Maddy will have an operation on his fractured thumb tomorrow night and be out for between six and eight weeks so will miss the whole of the Twenty20.

But we are top of the league ..............
Well one out of Poonia, Parker and James should now step up and perform. There are 3 championship games, 2 one days and the whole of the Twenty20 without Maddy.
Its a great opportunity for one of the them to cement a place in the side and win a contract extension. My money's on Poonia.
Any thoughts on who will open with Westwood in the championship? Powell?
Shouldn't it be a case of who opens with Powell in the championship!?
