Derbyshire will bat

By Brian Halford on May 7, 08 10:39 AM

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It's a fine, sunny, if hazy, morning at Derby and Derbyshire have won the toss and will bat.

Warwickshire's team is unchanged from the side that drew with Leicestershire in the champo last week.

Derbyshire are without former Bear Graham Wagg due to an asthma attack. Another former Warwickshire representative, Freddie Klokker, comes in to play as a specialist batsman while Nayan Doshi, so nearly a former Bear last season, also plays.

Brian, Can you post up when you have your larger editorals going in the Mail as a few of us would make an effort to buy the paper on those nights we don't normally if there is some added cricket interest.

Any sight of any Warblers?

No warblers visible yet, Beatie80. Something with wings left major deposits on me car within five minutes of parking in Derby this morning. Probably a seagull.
Re. posting up my bits in the Mail. That would be a bit self-indulgent! Why not buy the rip-snorting collection of mouth-watering features, reports and exclusives that is the Birmingham Mail every day!?

Its a jolly good read..... unlike the jolly poor watch we had at Edgbaston on Monday. :-o

Hope the car is ok...... none of those white triangular things that bumped into you at Northants the other day :-o

Keep up to date
