Anniversary (nearly) ton

Lunch: Warwickshire 302 for 7 (99.3 overs). Ambrose 100, Carter 17.

Ambrose reached an excellent century, his first for the Bears for 365 days (but not quite a year, it being a leap year!) from 165 balls with 16 fours.

He reached it with a three off Kruger, Carter pulled the next ball miles over mid-wicket for six and while they were still looking for the ball a heavy shower sent the players into lunch two minutes early.

The shower abated almost instantly and there seems no reason why they shouldn't resume at 2.10pm but most likely it will be some time in June 2013.
