The impressive Daggett

By Brian Halford on Apr 1, 08 03:45 PM

Worcestershire 12 for 3 (6 overs). Moeen 1, Hick 0.

Dagget removed Stephen Davies for 0 with a fine yorker which hit off-stump, Vikram Solanki for 10 with a nip-backer which collided with the same stump after the batter offered no stroke, and Ben Smith for 0, superbly caught at slip by Jonathan Trott.

Highly impressive opening spell from Daggett. Carter also well on target at the other end.

"The Apprentice" on BBC2. Compelling telly or a crass showcase for desperately sad self-publicists?

Yes, a classic case of tv dumbing down.

The Apprentice? Compelling , crass showcase for desperately sad self-publicists. I love it.

Someone I know a tiny bit is a contestant this time. Ex army, Sky satellite engineer and fellow Hammer - Simon Smith. Universally known as "The Skerrit".

Done well to get on because he's from a poor family. So poor, that you'll never guess what he got for Christmas one year...

I'd like somebody, at a critical time on The Apprentice, to slip in the action man deserter gag. Al Sugar and his two ferrety acolytes wouldn't know what to make of it.

Keep up to date
