Rain and a very irritating big white triangular thing.

By Brian Halford on Apr 23, 08 10:34 AM

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It's been raining for hours and although it's only fine drizzle at the moment there is no chance of play before lunch. Serious brightening up is required to allow play today.

Meanwhile, along one side of the car park here at Wantage Road, there are, I have just discovered, a series of big white triangular things jutting out. The existence of these came to my attention a few moments ago when I reversed into one, at considerable detriment to the dear old Fiesta's paintwork. If you are reversing, you see, you can see the wall but, unless you are hawk-eyed, not the irritating white triangular things.

Just bumped into Northants' chief exec and these beasts exist, he informs me, to shore up the very old wall. 'E was only moderately sympathetic, the implication being that my observation skills were not what they might have been.

I might need counselling. It's not just a breeze this cricket-reporting y'know.

Sorry to read about your incident....

So we're already close to achieving an undefeated April at Edgbaston and we may be on the way to an undefeated April in the championship...... with this weather and some nice declarations ;-)

Any news on the team. Anyon's consideration seems strange he could only bowl 3 overs inside on Sunday.

Hope he is nor being rushed back to quick.
