Well I have to say I'm pretty much lost for words.
Having seen Wolves defeated by the old enemy Albion last night, I was starting to wonder if life was worth the hack any more.
But the trousering of the Seagull Trophy has lifted my spirits like nothing else on earth.
Obviously there are a few people I'd like to thank.
Brian of course, my mother and father (who used to give me a proper Action Man rather than a deserter), Richard O'Sullivan and perhaps most importantly the two protagonists themselves - messrs Carter and Mitchell.
I await the 'trophy' presentation with interest....
Are you sure it wasn't a no ball...... a bit misty this morning. I was rather looking forward to collecting the trophy ;-)
But rejoice..... our journey in division 2 is underway.
Was n't there to see it, but I bet the first ball as described drew a nice round of applause from the slip fielders.
