A wonderful historic spot, this. Just been over leaning on one of the distant trees gazing across at the flannelled figures playing cricket in front of the quaint old pavilion just as cricketers have been doing for centuries.
On this very spot, 108 years ago, WG Grace was lifted for four sixes in four balls by RE Foster. In front of these very trees. Groovy.
