"He sneaked it in while nobody was looking"

By Brian Halford on Apr 8, 08 04:47 PM

Oxford UCCE 197 for 4 (75 overs). Young 21, Bradshaw 2.
Trott ripped one through Lett's attempted cut to bowl him for 25. Oxford's top four having scored 34, 54, 42 and 25, it's clear the bowling has not been that penetrative, albeit on a flat, slow pitch.
Botha has wheeled away at length, 18-6-36-0, and found some rhythm. Trott 7-2-23-2.

With some of the Bears players (13-strong) coming off for little breaks now and then and a cold wind blowing and a slow pitch offering nothing and batsmen who aspire only to survive. it's pretty low-key and less than compelling stuff, truth be told.

A chap in the press box has just said: "He sneaked it in while nobody was looking".

Scissor Sisters still going.

Bit of a concern that we can't get any Oxford students out for less than double figures.

Any further updates? I assume play must be about winding up?

The pitch is slow - due to the snow ? ;-)
