Gloom descends

By Brian Halford on Apr 18, 08 03:46 PM

Tea: Worcestershire 413 for 5 (106 overs). Hick 95, Davies 37. They lead by 447.

Gloom has pretty much descended on the Bears supporters but, on a brighter note for Warwickshire, gloom is also descending on the afternoon in terms of the weather. Thick grey cloud is all around and it does not look like lifting. If it remains, the murk will probably mean that Worcestershire will have to keep on batting instead of getting the Bears in and having a go a them tonight.

If Warwickshire do sustain a heavy defeat here it would give them arguably their worst quartet of successive championship results ever: defeats by an innings and 210 runs, nine wickets, nine wickets and this.

Harbinger of doom!

Simon - in the light of all the recent evidence, it's hard to brim with optimism!
It's getting lighter here, by the way, so the Bears could have some batting to do tonight.
