Dry at the moment
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Today and yesterday has been redolent of last season, driving to a cricket ground with the windscreen wipers full on (last year my wipers were runner-up to Tim Ambrose in the Bears player-of-the-season award), but Northampton seems to have eluded the worst of the rain.
No official word yet but the groundstaff are working on the pitch and the players are on the outfield so it all looks set for a prompt start.

According to the BBC website, Northampton is the only ground where play has started on time. Can it last ?
Gorgeous sunshine at the moment but every reporter arrived today reporting rain from wherever they have come from so you'd think we are in for a bit here at some stage.
