Warwickshire are reportedly close to finalising a deal which could see them participating in this seasons Indian Premier league.

Talks are at an advanced stage with Darren Maddy thought to be ready to lead a side containing several of the current first team and a number of old faces, including Makaya Ntini and Heath Streak alongside domestic players in India which would then relocate to Edgbaston once the tournament is completed in June.

The Indian Premier League are considering expanding their fledgling competition to 10 teams and Wrwickshire are thought to be keen on securing a deal which would see them fill an as yet open franchise thought to be the Jaipur Phules.

;-) hope you get a dry day!
