"Oh what will the 2008 season bring for the Bears?"

By Brian Halford on Feb 6, 08 09:13 AM

A poem.

"Oh what will the 2008 season bring for the Bears?"

The cricket season has loomed into distant view.
After the shambles of 2007, how will the Warwickshire fare in 2008?
Intriguing.
Bears supporters, it's time to prepare.
Put on your smocks. Take up your sticks.
Adopt the position.
It's time to perform the bean-setting dance
In the name of Manolito from the High Chaparal.
At Northampton and Southend. At Leicester and Southgate.
And of course at Edgbaston, while queuing for your car-park ticket.

Wonder how long the new blog will have to wait before the words 'Action Man Deserter' hone into view.....

A joke.
Q. What's the difference between a smock and a cape?
A. You can't wash your hands in a bison.

I think that's right.

Hi folks, nice to hear from you. The cricket blog will be up and running in earnest the week after next after I get back from holiday.
It will be nice to get a bit of cricketspeak going again. Meanwhile, foran insight into my last four months, simply take a laptop into a freezing cold field, when it's raining, and sit at it for 24 hours without a break typing "hamstring strain".
And make the field at least 200 miles away so you have to drive there and back.
In fog and congestion.
Cheers for now.
