Midlands Comic Con in Telford

MIDLANDS COMIC Con takes place at Telford's International Centre on the 18th February.

Though more accurately a pop culture show with film, TV, and games related events also taking place MCM Expo does designate a Comic Village to each of its shows.

The American derived 'comic con' abbreviated terminology seems to be a catch-all title being used by several organisers that have sprung up in recent years to attract those who've been attending the dedicated comic shows around the UK.

That marketing nuance aside, there is no doubt the Comic Villages give people across the country the chance to check out the latest works by home-grown independent comics creators that they may never even have been aware of.

The Telford show will feature several writers and creators including Matthew Craig, Lily Mitchell, Jenika Ioffreda, Tanya Louisa Roberts, Tyler Wilson and Josh Clarke.
