Terry & the Pirates DVD

MILTON CANIFF's classic 1930s newspaper comic strip Terry & the Pirates was brought to life as a 15 chapter theatrical serial by Columbia Pictures back in 1940 and is now available on a 2 DVD set available through AC Comics.

Young Terry Lee(played by William Tracy) and adventurer Pat Ryan (Granville Owen) search the jungles of the Orient for the missing Dr. Lee. Terry's father has been kidnapped by an evil fiend named Fang (Dick Curtis) who sends forth a trained gorilla to capture pretty Normandie Drake (Joyce Bryant). All this, and the mysterious Dragon Lady (Sheila Darcy).

Directed by James W. Horne the adventure serial collections runs over four hours long.
