Bristol Comic Expo 2010 Review
THE BRISTOL Comic Expo took place on 22nd - 23rd May this year. Here with a brief review of the show is G.M. Jordan, founder of the Comic Book Alliance:
Bristol, from what I remember, was a whirl!
There were some fantastic panels, the Chris Claremont and Alan Davis panel was really good, it's a shame Davis is so quietly spoken because he is a really interesting man.
The DC comics/Vertigo panels were excellent and the small publishers' expo was really busy.
There were mixed reactions to the Eagles Panel. I only caught a little because I was off talking to people and I was late but according to people who stayed for the whole shebang they only announced 5 shortlisted publications.
We launched the Comic Book Alliance (CBA) officially but because we were just about the last panel of the Expo the audience was a little light but there were some good points made, lots of issue discussed and I feel a lot more comfortable.
All in all it was a good weekend!
