Why runnng in the rain is rubbish
I ran for 50 minutes in the pouring rain yesterday and apart from the obvious wet and cold the weather caused me a real problem or two.
1. As the rain got heavier, so did my t-shirt, shorts, socks and trainers. I weighed about two stone more by the time I got back to my car
2. I actually, truly, found it difficult to see where I was going. Seriously, I looked a prize prat zig-zagging round Arrow Valley Lake
3. My earphones kept dropping out of my ears because they were wet. So I had to keep fiddling with them. This is actually more annoying than you might think.
So I've found a very simple solution.
Tonight ladies and gentlemen, I am running at the gym. And no, before you say anything, that isn't cheating.
