A big mistake
I tried to run 7km in my 35 minute run yesterday, and although I nearly passed out at the end, I managed it.
Now if I can do that three times in a row then I am in line to do the half-marathon in 1 hour 45 minutes. Easy really.
But the really big mistake came after my run.
Ask my housemates how I recover from a training session and they will smile and tell you 'with a pint from the fridge'.
But I pushed the boat out a bit further last night and boy did I regret it.
As well as my pint of lager I had a large portion of chunky chips... with a WHOLE baked Brie!
It tasted great when I demolished it but an hour later I was really suffering.
And I can still taste the cheese in my mouth today.
This weekend sees us do a 45 minute run on Saturday and a 80 minute long run on Sunday. I'm looking for a new route to do it and this website seems pretty handy - www.walkjogrun.net
Now, where's that packet of mints?
