Can anyone explain to me the purpose of a fried vegetarian breakfast?

Veggie sausages are appalling things - more like condensed sawdust than the real thing. Likewise those non-meat products that pretend to be bacon are vile. And, as far as I know, no-one has yet developed a veggie version of black pudding, an essential ingredient in any full English breakfast.

I wish cafes and bars would stop pandering to those who choose not to eat flesh. After all, when was the last time you saw a vegetarian restaurant offer meaty delights to any of us carnivores who might want to drop in?
