How dependent we've become on plastic when it gets round to paying for stuff.

I visited a new Italian restaurant called Bella Luna in Bearwood last night and, after my meal, discovered I couldn't pay by card because the necessary electronic gizmo had yet to be fixed so off I went around the corner to use the cashpoint. Thank goodness the hole-in-the-wall was working otherwise I'd probably still be busy washing dishes...

Bit of a nuisance but I'm happy to forgive this glitch because the food was enjoyable and the service was charming. A full review's on its way in the Mail next week.
