Nigella's a bore

She who cannot handle a cooking implement or ingredient without behaving suggestively returned to our television screens last night.

Am I in a minority in my dislike of snooty Nigella Lawson's "cookery" programmes?

I hate the way she pouts. I hate the way she camps up her alleged allure. If she's so attractive, why so many soft focus shots,? Why so few shots showing her bulky bottom?

Above all, though, I despise the slapdash style of her cooking.

This is dumbing down of cookery and the BBC should be ashamed of itself for screening this rubbish.

For heaven's sake, let's have someone who has something interesting to say about food filling this slot .

Is he not aware that this is not supposed to be a cooking programme?

Silly me. I guess what it is a programme demonstrating that if you have the right family connections, you get your own prime-time TV slot.

She's got a bulky bottom?

That didn't stop the Beeb screening full-length shots of Hattie Jacques, Bill.

I have always been a huge fan of Nigella's casual, family approach to food and cooking, and loved her Nigella Bites series. However, Nigella Express has taken a turn for the worse and she unfortunately seems to have sold out, cutting corners she would never have dreamed of in other series. She is naturally very sexy, so it's a real shame seeing her staged, inuuendos througout each show, which ultimately detract from her natural ability to reach out to viewers.

For 'casual' read 'sloppy' maybe? For 'sexy' read 'plump'?
By the way, good to hear from someone with the same surname!
