Greed is good (maybe)
Gluttony is not an attractive quality, but it is sometimes understandable.
Yesterday I spent the morning in the office and, as usual, snacked and lunched at my desk prior to what I thought would be a straightforward interview with Chris Duffy, head chef at Filini, the very good restaurant at the Radisson hotel.
We chatted away for half-hour then, enthused by the ingredients he gets to use, Chris disappeared into the kitchen to bring a few examples.
We sampled several cheeses and some cured meats and, so excellent were they, that I sampled them again before tasting a few olive oils.
I then returned home for chilli con carne.
Thank goodness I'm in training for the Birmingham half-marathon.....
You can read the interview with Chris in the Food + Drink section of Thursday's Mail, where there's also the chance to win a champagne meal.

Hi there
Why are you so disliked on the above website? They seem to imply that your restaurant 'reviews' are somewhat influenced by current and potential advertising revenue for the the paper? As it was when Alison 'non meat eating critic' was in the chair.
I can't say I rate any of your reviews as they are somewhat nonsensical and to be quite honest, the only critic I rate here in the city is Metro's Annette Rubery who says it as she sees it, regardless of whatever upset she may cause a potential advertiser.
Hey, swings and r'abouts, I guess...

Hello Hanna. I would imagine the website you mention would be far better placed to answer your question than I am.
I will, however, stress that my reviews aren't influenced by revenue implications for the paper and reflect my opinion about my experience at the restaurant being reviewed.
Incidentally, Alison Davison was never "in the chair" for the Mail - she worked for the Bham Post, which is our sister paper but has its own staff.
Best wishes.
What "above website" ??
