Girls at the stove
A sort of culinary mania has swept through my female colleagues over the past two days.
It started when one of our reporters announced that she had enrolled for a Mediterranean cookery course at night school in Sutton Coldfield. Since then, two of her workmates have enrolled plus a friend from Central News.
This is encouraging because - in my circle of friends at least - there was once an attitude among women that rustling up a meal in the kitchen somehow undermined their feminist credentials.
Now, it appears, women are quite happy to accept that cooking is not at all demeaning. And I believe everyone should know how to cook well.
I look forward to the Mediterranean treats that will soon be arriving in the office.

Even if we cook it...it doesn't mean we'll let you eat it Mr Fulford!
I wish I could say that I had been looking forward to sampling what my colleagues will be cooking, but I am a truthful man.
