Save our bacon

I had the worst bacon sandwich I've ever eaten today - the meat was pink, salty and damp and it came on pappy bread. It never ceases to amaze me how few places manage to produce a bacon butty that's worth eating.

We've got some brilliant restaurants in this area that can turn out food of real quality yet it's a struggle to find a breakfast sarnie that doesn't make me sympathise with the pig that was slaughtered to produce it.

Shocking!

for £1.99 you can get a baguette filled with hot juicy bacon at our students guild shop at the University of Birmingham. its perfect first thing in the morning.
