McPakora
I had an interesting conversation today with Jim Hardy, the new(ish) chef at Pascal's in Edgbaston (it's in the premises that used to be Jessica's).
One of the Scots-born chef's starters is a haggis pakora. It would be easy to dismiss the dish as a novelty but that would be a mistake - first because he's s serious chef with loads of experience, secondly because I tasted the pakora and it was very good.
