Bad guy
HANDS up anyone who gets intensely irritated when invariably young waiters refer to you and your companions as "you guys"?
Don't get me wrong. I hate formality in restaurants. I generally wear jeans - even to Michelin-starred joints. But I don't want staff to pretend to be my best mate.
To someone of my age, the use of "guys" by waiters seems patronising - like they're seeking to be reassuringly jolly with someone who's slightly senile. Come to think of it, I'm beginning to understand why they use the term when I'm around...

I can get annoyed when blokes say it. But I must admit that when its a waitRESS (ie: a babe) I don't care what she calles me as long as she leans forward to share her cleavage
Come on you guys, get over yourselves...
