The Mosque

By Malcolm Davis, UK Independence Party on Apr 16, 10 03:21 PM

I was drawn into this situation simply by massive public demand. The land in question was worth nearly a million pounds and was gifted to them for about £20,000. The land was also reserved for heavy employment in an area with high unemployment and deprivation. It was unreasonable and unfair and already £159,000 of public funds had been used to help produce the project against the wishes of the Dudley people. There was a covenant on the acquisition of this land gifted by the then leader of the Labour Party Tim Sunter which has never been implemented. The time limit was up at the end of 2008 and so should have been purchased back on behalf of the Dudley tax payers. It is a fact that for some reason favours are given to this small group but not offered to any other. A Mosque to be opened in Brierley Hill will be subject to parking concessions and as a Christian we are hounded by the Authority for parking whilst worshiping whilst Muslims are offered a return of their money if they use a nearby pay and display car park. It is the constant unfairness of it all that gets me annoyed and it goes for housing grants and many other concessions that local people have never been able to benefit from. If someone can show me the fairness and unbiased side of the above facts then it will help me accept the continuance of the current situation. I simply want a fair and equal playing field for our established population and will continue to fight on their behalf. Gone are the days of equality we are fast becoming second class citizens in our own Country and as things develop and the population balance changes we will lose the opportunity to do the slightest thing about it.
