CAN YOU TRUST A BUS?

THERE are going to be many buses crawling through the rush hour traffic all over Birmingham this week that have been expensively emblazoned with the message that Mr Madonna, Guy Ritchie, is 'back to his diamond best'.

Or words to that effect.

Can you really believe such slogans on vehicles that are a) often dirty, b) nearly throw you through the windows when going over the speed humps on Colmore Row and c) nearly repeat point b) as you approach a bus stop with the force of a jet trying not to overshoot the 'runway' on an aircraft carrier.

Er, no.

It's the oldest marketing trick in the book. Tell enough people a message and they might end up believing it.

Go and see Ritchie's new movie Rocknrolla by all means when it opens on September 5.

But don't blame me when you find out that this 'diamond' is effectively another fake.
