KYLE HAS A CLINT IN HIS EYE AS HE LOOKS TOWARDS BRUM

I HAD a terrific chat with Kyle Eastwood last night, son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood.

His resemblance to his famous father is uncanny, but Kyle found music to be more of a calling than acting.

He's recently been working on the score for Clint's new Angelina Jolie film, Changeling, due out in November.

The other good news is that the jazz star will be playing the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath on Tuesday, May 13 from 8.30pm.

Kyle said he's really looking forward to playing such an intimate venue, and, given that it'll be his 40th birthday less than a week later, it could be a real party.

Hopefully the fans will give him a really warm welcome... and encourage him to stay behind afterwards for a drink or two.

Kyle's band features Andrew McCormack (piano), Michael Stevens (guitar), Richard Beesly (saxophone), Quentin Collins (trumpet) and Martyn Kaine (drums) and they'll be playing 'soulful brassy jazz and energetic funk grooves'.

He is also playing The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock, Shropshire on May 12.

To read Kyle's interview and for full ticket details see the Birmingham Mail on Friday, May 9.
