What colour is the sky in their world

IS it just me or does anyone else think our politicians are from a different planet? Do they really believe the cobblers they spout? Worse, do they actually believe anyone with an IQ in double figures believes them?

Face after smiling permotanned face pops up trying to look statesman-like, a forlorn hope at best, to tell us that the nation has asked for a hung Parliament, that the electorate decided it did not want any party to have a majority and even that the people have shown that they want a coalition as if this is some conscious, collective decision.

The people didn't do any such thing. They cast their votes, at least those who could get into a polling station did, and then went to the pub or home to watch telly. The result was about as much a conscious decision by the electorate as the destination of the ball on a roulette wheel is controlled by the punters placing their chips on the table.
