So this shabby excuse for a Government has found yet another way to screw meony from us with a £15 tax on fixed penalty fines for everything from speeding and parking ro even having dirty windows on your car supposedly to be handed out to organisations dealing with the victims of crime.

Many of these of course will be unaccountable and unelected but that is another rant for another day so back to New Labour's latest scabby stealth tax.

This is the same Government that chucks money down the black hole of PFI schemes using dodgy accounting and fiddles to justify it; that spends more on consultants than the the total budget of many countries; that has set up so many quangoes that it a wonder that every memeber of the population is not on at least one; that spends more and more on benefits; that has increased the number of civil servants while spouting endlessly about cutting waste; that has kept banks afloat with what appear to be absolutely no conditions attached to loans and guarantees and spends money like water on IT systems that do not work.

So when it comes to balancing the books? Do the Government look at reducing their expenditure by significant amounts or do they screw the motorists and the general public yet again. No prizes for guessing that one.

Now on the basis the population is already approaching 70 million - the Government don't have a clue to the nearest 5 million remember - here is a a simple plan that could make £910 million a year - probably a billion or if you include tourists.

Why not charge everyone a living tax? Everyone has to pay 25p a week for the air they use - £12 a year in advance but no rebate for unused air time if you pop your clogs. If they don't pay then the local council send someone round to smother you.

Keep up to date
