Happy Christmas new Easter halloween

Amyone who still had a notion we might still be a Christian country should pop into their local Co-op.

There they will find in all it's glory . . . an Easter display. The Chrsitmas decorations are still up, people are still wishing friends and family a Happy New Year and the Co-op are already flogging Easter.

I am sure they are not the only store chain who find the worship of mammon preferable to more traditional forms of religion and have their Easter goods already on display and Cadbury's are not blameless in this - it was their display.

But in Christian terms we have just celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ and before the three wise men have had time to get back on their camels and the shepherds are back with their flocks the Co-op are already looking forward to his death.

If they can do a deal on a pack of Christmas cards with every Easter egg they will have it all sorted.
