More women - whether they want it or not
Apparently, according to the Equality and Human Rights Commission, we have less MPs and senior politicians who are women than many other countries. Looking at the ministers and senior figures we have got I can only say thank the Lord for that.
I don't supposed it has dawned on the chattering classes who bang on about equality and diversity and multiculturalism and all the other buzz words that just maybe a lot less women than men actually want to be MPs, ministers, directors and CEOs of multinational companies, editors of national newspapers or whatever. It is just possible that they have more sense and would prefer to have a real life or perhaps feel, God forbid, that being a good mother might even be a worthwhile occupation.
If we can only measure a person's worth by what they earn, or the power they wield or the status of their job then perhaps our ancestors should never have bothered to walk upright.
