Christmas and Easter are the twin foundations of Christianity, the world's largest religion. It is a faith practised by 2 billion people, a quarter of the world's population. The cornerstone of Christianity is the belief in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection. In every continent on Good Friday The Passion is celebrated with fasts, processions and devotions on what is the holiest day of the Christian calendar. Our contribution? We allowed betting shops to open for the first time.
