I do . . . but not a lot

With February 29 upon us I see Asda reckon you can do a wedding on the cheap for a mere £1,300 which, naturally, involves buying the wedding gear from them.

I reckon that that is about £1,200 too much if you really want to do it on the cheap - and my price includes a round of drinks!

Anybody out there had a really cut price wedding or know of one or got any tips on saving the old matrimonial money? Feel free to join in.

While we are at it why does the mere mention of the word wedding send prices at hotels and restaurants into the 'you must be having a laugh' category? So that is the first cost saving tip - never tell them what the booking is for.
