Anyone with a newborn knows that settling them down to sleep can be somewhat of a trauma.

Fortunately, Milo has been pretty good, and nods off himself in the moses basket.

In the middle of the night, however, when the house is deadly silent and I can hear him starting to break in to a scream, Ewan The Dream Sheep has become my lifesaver.

Ewan has a soothing red glow and four sounds, one on each foot. His favourite is the simple 'womb and heartbeat' sound.

Pressing it gives me a guaranteed 20-minute snooze before he starts stirring again and I acknowledge I have to crawl out of bed. (Though I admit I must have pressed that foot a hundred times on our first week out of hospital.)

He's super soft and is a perfect calming night time companion.

Ewan's Velcro tail means he can easily be attached to the cot or crib, out of the way of his face but close enough to hear.

Out of all the things we have to help us cope with life as parents, Ewan The Dream Sheep is by far the best thing ever!
